These are my dream socks.
They are knitted from a discontinued alpaca-cashmere-silk yarn which I picked up for £2 at the excellent stock clearance sale at The Wool Croft in Abergavenny (which I’m pleased to say recently won Best Knitting Shop in Wales! Very well deserved).
Alpaca cashmere silk. Need I say any more? It is heavenly to wear them.
The pattern, Saviano Socks, was great and also free.
If I did these again I might use a smaller needle. They’re a bit baggy after constant use. But what else does one want from bedsocks? They are perfect.
